Fred G. Utroska

Born: October 18, 1924; in Clinton, IA

Died: March 15, 2016; in Geneva, IL

Fred G. Utroska, age 91, of Geneva, formerly of St. Charles, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

He was born October 18, 1924 in Clinton, Iowa. The son of the late Fred and Cecil Utroska.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II in the South Pacific aboard the USS Ingraham DD-694. He was a member of the St. Charles VFW and the St. Charles American Legion. He was employed in various fields and completed his career, retiring from Elmhurst Chicago Stone Company after twenty five years of service. Fred also served as an Alderman of the 5th Ward in St. Charles and contributed kindly and generously in the community.

Fred is survived by his son, Jeff (Dana) Utroska of St. Charles. His much cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Rachael Liberman) Utroska and Patrick (Emily) Utroska; and his two adored great grandchildren, Ollie and Parker Utroska. Also, his most special friend, Joyce Nelson, and a wide and wonderful family of dear nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Utroska.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Charitable donations may be made in Fred's name to your local Veteran's organizations.

Dear Family,
Larry and I loved Fred. He was a very special man who showed so much compassion for people. Fred was always so friendly and appreciative of his neighbors. His family loved him so much. Jeff and Dana took such good care of him. He will be missed. Love to Fred and his family.
