Bob Wiebe Obituary

KEARNEY - Robert John ""Bob"" Wiebe, 81, of Loomis died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Westmark Evangelical Free Church in rural Loomis with the Rev. Patrick Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at the Sandstrom Cemetery in rural Phelps County.
Due to health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for faith-based services and gatherings will be followed. The funeral and graveside services will be livestreamed via the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home Facebook page.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. Face coverings will be required.
Bob was born April 19, 1939, at Beatrice to John J. and Helen (Thimm) Wiebe.
On July 10, 1960, Bob married Helen Redekop at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Wiebe of Loomis; sons, John Wiebe of Wichita, Kansas, and Tim Wiebe of McCook; daughter, Lynette Penner of Wichita; son, Tim Wiebe of McCook; brother, James Wiebe of DeWitt; three grandsons, two stepgrandsons and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
