Drew C. Chamberlin, age 31, of Kearney, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home in Kearney, Neb. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at New Life Church in Kearney. Pastor Roger Wendt will officiate and private family burial will be later. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to the family. Drew Christopher Chamberlin was born Thursday, August 5, 1993 at CHI/GSH in Kearney to Sue (Chamberlin) Simodynes and Elias "Lee" Antillon. He attended Emerson Elementary, Horizon Middle School and Kearney High School in Kearney, Frost Elementary in Mesa, Ariz. and Chandler Unified School in Chandler, Ariz. He played varsity golf and football during his middle and high school years. He graduated from Omaha South Magnet High School in 2012. Drew then attended one year at Peru State College. He was currently employed by Herbal Wonder in Kearney.
Drew's heart was as big as his travels, making friends everywhere he went. His family was his first priority and he loved them deeply. His free time included fishing with his brother and friends, making jewelry and posting himself playing music on Snapchat. His passion for music was evident in all aspects of his life. He played the drums, guitar, bass and sang backup to his father in their band BPOW. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Elias "Lee" Antillon and Sue (Chamberlin) Simodynes; step-parents, Kyle Simodynes and Tammy (Janssen) Antillon; siblings, Elise, Emelia and Eliason Svendsen-Antillon, Kellen Simodynes, Tyler and Tanner Frye; grandparents, Linda Bartels, Dee Antillon, Gilbert Antillon and Larry Chamberlin; aunts and uncles, Carlos and Benita Antillon, Gerry and Teresa Methe, Dean and Beckie Chamberlin, Ron and Stephanie Bogus; nephew, Ayden Antillon;
Drew was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Calvin and LaDean Chamberlin, Leo and Benita Romero, Maria Carranza, Harry and Elaine Neiman; grandparents, Richard Svendsen, Roger Bartels; uncles, Gilbert and Mario Antillon; cousins, Deputy Christopher Johnson and Tony Guardiola.
