Frankie L. Moreno, age 56 of Kearney, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 in Kearney.
A Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. Father Josh Brown will celebrate and burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. A family led Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday prior to the mass. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family, to be designated later. Please visit www.hlmkfuneral.com to leave a tribute or message of condolence. Frankie was born on June 15, 1969 in Kearney, NE to Pete C. Moreno and Frances M. Diaz. He attended school in Kearney and later worked for the UP Railroad, UNK and also at Nick's Gyro's in Kearney.
Frankie is survived by his siblings, Angie Vieyra, Thomas Diaz, Rene Diaz, Val Diaz, Rosa Linda Diaz, Erma Diaz, Janice Diaz, Golanda Borrego, Juanita McDonald, Patricia Diaz Rhea, Peggy Lara, Louie Lopez, Sally Terrazas and Julia Archuleta; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Diaz and father, Francisco Abraham Diaz; siblings, Romelia Diaz, Susie Diaz and Abraham Diaz; biological father, Pete Moreno.

Prayers to you all! I had the privilege of taking care of Frankie a couple of times! He was such a joy, and fun! Angie, I will never forget the time you "made" me eat supper with you and Frankie while he was in the hospital! I will never forget your kindness! Cherish your sweet memories with him!
