Minden resident, 27

MINDEN - Star E. Simpson Hill, 27, of Minden died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident south of Minden.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

There will be no visitation.

She was born June 8, 1981, in Denver.

Survivors include her parents, Annette and Jack Hill of Heartwell; brother, Max of Heartwell; grandparents, Gaylene Hill of Minden, Louise Koller of Denver and Jan and Terry Simpson of Abingdon, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She leaves behind her dog, Baby.

She moved to Minden at an early age and graduated from Minden High School in 2000. She then graduated from Central Community College-Hastings with a degree in business administration. She worked as a cashier at Casey's in Minden.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Richard Koller and Jack Hill.

A memorial fund has been established.

Star was a beautiful childhood friend of mine growing up in Colorado. The precious childhood memories I have of her and I are priceless. I will miss you greatly. Sorry for your loss.

I had the honor and privledge of knowing Starr. She was a wonderful woman. It is extraordinary to meet someone with that special "glow", she was truly beautiful inside and out. Intelligent, compassionate and no one that ever met her could ever forget her bright smile. She was a rare and precious gem. I am a better person for knowing her and she will be so very missed.

Jack and Annette,
I only was able to know star for 3 years. But in that short time she was one of my best friends. She laughed with me she cried with me she even sang golden girls songs with me. I love her so much and I miss her so very dearly. You are in my heart and prayers always.
