Catherine "Dolly" Jane Rud, 76, of Sandwich passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 14, 1941 in LaSalle, IL, the daughter of Joseph L. and Doris E. (Rodda) Zupancic. She married Walter H. Rud on July 2, 1960 in Oglesby, IL. Dolly was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich, the Ladies of the Moose in Sandwich, and formerly a member of the Red Hat Society. Dolly loved going to get coffee Friday mornings with the girls. Most of all Catherine loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Walter of Sandwich, IL; her children, Robert Rud of Chicago, IL, Jamie (Diana) Rud and David Rud both of Sandwich, IL; two grandchildren, Jacob and Devan; one brother, Joseph Zupancic of Chicago, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich with Rev. Bernie Sehr officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
