Died: December 6, 2022
Yorkville – Jamie Leigh James, 39, of Yorkville, formerly of Edelstein, passed away on December 6, 2022. Jamie was born on January 1, 1983 in Peoria to Martin Blair and Elsie (Riley) Begner. She married Christopher James on May 16, 2009.
Surviving are her husband Chris; four children, Kaylee, Makenzee, Landon, and Cassidy James; father, Martin Blair of Edelstein; mother, Elsie Begner of Princeville; three sisters, Ashley (Adam) Smothers of Latham, Erika Blair of Peoria, and Kelsy (Sean Birchenall) Blair of Edelstein; her parents-in-law, Jon and Diane James of Chillicothe; and brother-in-law, Josh James of Davenport, IA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Jamie graduated from Princeville High School in 2001 before attending ICC and later graduating in 2008 from the International Academy of Design and Technology for Interior Design in Chicago. She previously worked at Luxottica's Sunglass Hut, and currently was working as an eye care technician for Target Optical in Yorkville. Jamie was a very creative person who loved drawing and photography. She was also a board member and treasurer for the BPAC Dual Language Program at Yorkville School District #115 where her children attended. Jamie was a devoted and self-less mother, aunt and friend and was loved by all.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at Haskell Funeral & Cremation Services in Princeville. Rev. Zach Waldis will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Princeville Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial trust in the children's names at Earthmover Credit Union or donations can be made to Project Hope. Condolences may be left for Jamie's family on her tribute wall at www.haskellfuneral.com.

To the James' family and the Blair family, we are so very sorry to hear about Jamie and our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of you! We have many great memories of the Riley/Rayburn reunions and all the fun we had. Jamie's pictures told the story of her love for her family, and pictures are a cherished token! She is now your Guardian Angel watching over all of you, until you can be together again. Our love to all, Ron, Mitzi, Shane, Rachael, and Brian Rayburn.
