Nancy Weaver Obituary

Nancy M. Weaver
Born: February 3, 1943 in Aurora, IL
Died: June 30, 2025 in Yorkville, IL
Nancy M. Weaver, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 82, in Yorkville, Illinois. She was born on February 3, 1943, in Aurora, Illinois, to the late Harold Z. and Florance nee Waren VanEtten.
Nancy's life was marked by her unwavering love for family and her deep-seated values that shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband, Gary Weaver, whom she married on July 2, 1960. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Pam) Weaver and Greg (Dawn) Weaver, who carry on her legacy of kindness and strength. Her five granddaughters, Brittney (Tad) Keely, Becky (Scott) Stark, Ashley (Brandon) Miller, Megan (Meritt) Weaver, and Jessica (Tyler) Morel, were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments. Nancy's joy multiplied with the arrival of her eight great-grandchildren-Kobane, Kash, Korgan Keely, Hattie, Laila Stark, Owen, Natalie Miller, and Lincoln Morel-who brought her profound happiness and laughter.
After retiring from Western Electric/A. T. & T. in 1986, Nancy and Gary embraced a new chapter of their lives, relocating to the serene shores of Axehandle Lake in New Auburn, Wisconsin. Here, she found solace in nature and the simple pleasures of life, nurturing her passion for reading, crocheting, cross-stitch, and solving puzzles and games. These hobbies not only brought her joy but also connected her with friends and family.
In 2017, Nancy made the heartfelt decision to return to Illinois to be closer to her beloved family, who cherished every moment spent with her. Her warmth and wisdom were a guiding light in their lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
All services will be private.
