I was fortunate enough to witness the love and pride Jodie had for his family and also the joy he received from racing his horses. Though I met him only a few times, he struck me as a vibrant, warm and thoroughly engaging person who was blessed with many riches in his life. My condolences to his family and those who loved him.

I send my deepest sympathy to Caroline, Jim and Susan and the
Wade family.

I remember the first time I met Jodie. He welcomed me into his family as if I were one of his own
children.

He was a loving and generous Grandfather to our children Jimmy
and Betsy. He shared his generous
spirit, his love of family, and his farm, often shared over good food that was sprinkled with technical
conversations as well as laughter.

He loved being "Santa" at Christmas,
bringing stars to the eyes of his
Grandchildren when they were young
and a beaming smile to Jodie's face.
He loved Christmas Apple Cake, taking Christmas flowers to friends
and family, and family gatherings.

He will be fondly remembered in many happy memories.
