Dorothy MOORE Obituary

MOORE Dorothy W, 87, wife of Robert Moore, died Tue, Dec 27, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late James William and Nancy Katherine Moore Wallman. She was a retired executive secretary for the Ohio State Racing Commission, a member of South Elkhorn Christian Church and a member of the Priscilla Circle at the church. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Survivors include a son, Robert Moore, Lexington; a daughter, Debra Moore, Columbus, OH; and three nieces, Ann Morgan, Lexington, Nancy Wong, Cincinnati, OH. and Barbara Jean Cuzick of Versailles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Lamar Wallman and two sisters, Mary Catherine Turpin and Edna Mae Spurgeon. Funeral services will be held 10am Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral - Harrodsburg Road by Rev. Mickey Anders. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Thu at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504 or South Elkhorn Christian Church, 4343 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob, Rob and Deb,she was a wonderful person. I will always remember her fabulous cooking, her awesome cookies and candy and her infectious smile and laughter. Even though there is saddness among her family and friends here on earth there is dancing and joy in heaven. Dorothy, I will see you again someday. Sue Burke
