Frances McGinnis Balden
February 11, 1929 - June 4, 2023
Lexington, Kentucky - Frances McGinnis Balden, 94, of Lexington, widow of Earl D. Balden, passed away June 4. Born in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of Oliver J. and Elizabeth Harris McGinnis. She retired from the Chattel Mortgage Dept. of the Fayette County Clerks office. She was a long-time member of Tates Creek Christian Church. Frances will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by h children, Linda (Wayne) Forbes, Glenn (Susan) Balden, Vicki Taylor, John (Lauren) Balden and William "Bill" (Carla) Balden; grandchildren, Suzanne Combs, Victoria Taylor and John Earl Balden; sister-in-law Ola Frances Royalty and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to Earl, her husband of 71 years and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and two sisters. Services will be held at Tates Creek Christian Church. Visitation Monday, from 4-7pm, Funeral, Tuesday, at 11am. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tates Creek Christian Church Memorial Fund, 3150 Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY 40502. www.milwardfuneral.com

I have so many great memories growing up on Glendover and living directly across the street from the Balden family. I think I spent more time at their house than my own. Linda, Glenn, Vicki, John and Bill...
you all had wonderful parents. I will cherish them forever.
