Jane Dillon Obituary

DILLON Jane F., 84, of Lexington, wife of Oscar W. Dillon, Jr., whom she married in 1960, died Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Joseph - East Hospital. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Lillian McCrea Fruechtemeyer. She received her BA from Hood College in Frederick, MD, and her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a Professional Social Worker for the Department of Public Welfare in Baltimore, MD. She came to Kentucky in 1965 and held several professional social workers positions in Fayette and Jessamine Counties. She enjoyed her family, traveling, genealogy research, photography and gardening. She was also a member of Walnut Hill Church. Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Donald H. (Jeanne) Dillon, Lake Mary, FL, and David R. Dillon, Lexington; two daughters, Diane C. Dillon and Jane M. Dillon, both of Lexington; three grandchildren, Katherine Camburn, Charleston, SC, Donald H. Dillon, Jr., Lake Mary, FL, and Delaney M. Dillon, Lexington; two great-grand-children. A celebration of her life will be 10am Saturday at Walnut Hill Church with private burial to follow. So sorry to hear of Jane death. I don't get a paper, I enjoyed doing her hair she was a very interesting person will miss her
