Jeffery will be missed as I really looked forward to his smiling face at O'Charleys. I was a weekly customer and it was always a pleasure to see him there. He always talked about his family with pride and love. It really makes me sad to know he will not be there anymore but he is with our Wonderful Lord now and we'll see him again someday. Warmly Paula M

Jeff was a remarkable young man. We became acquainted with him at O'Charleys in Knoxville. His kind, considerate, passionate way really attracted us to him. He will be remembered each time we visit O'Charleys.

Mr. and Mrs. Shockency and family I am so sorry to hear about Jeffery. Words can't even express how much we (the brown family) sympathtize with you all. It is always a tragedy to loose someone, but a child is far more than any parent should have to endure. I ask that you all be strong for one another, you all have a family bond that will hold true to anything, even this. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this your time of need.

Please accept my deepest sympathies in your loss. I had known Jeff for about the last year or so. I met him by coming into his work each week for lunch. Jeff always made it a point to say hi to me, ask me about my family, talk about his plans and he never failed to shake my hand and made me feel like he really cared if I was there. I had never met anyone quite like Jeff in that he always had not just a smile, but a big smile everytime I saw him. I can honestly say that his visits were the highlight of my day. I only found out today about his loss and it saddens me deeply to lose such a wonderful person and more importantly a great friend. I will miss him very much. May God bless you during these hard times and may you find comfort in his strength.

Jeffery was the big brother I never had but always wanted. He always made me feel so protected and cared for during the difficult times in my life. If I needed something to eat, he fed me. If I needed a place to stay, he opened up his home to me. God needed an angel like that in heaven and he found that in Jeffrey. I will think of him often during my journey in life. My heart and deep prayers go out to Mary Jane and Ted and all the Shockency family.

Ted and Mary Jane,
I was told that all of your children were home for Christmas...What a beautiful memory to have from all of this. When I think of my childhood, I include you and your family in my memories. I remember that I used to baby sit for most of your children a lot. The one that had a lasting impression on me was that Robby Darryl...he was quite a character (all boy!).
You have to know that if you all are hurting, then so am I. I will never forget my Mom telling me how hurt Theodore was on the day that Daddy died, and I think about that and visualize it so often. I have already asked God to help all of you to get through this terrible ordeal...He will.
