Winchester, Kentucky - Joe Ann Dove, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday August 19, 2025. Born in Greenville, Kentucky on July 21, 1942 to Richard and Catharine Hill, Joe Ann spent her younger years accompanying her father, a Baptist minister, as he established and pastored several churches in Kentucky. After graduating from Danville High School, Joe Ann moved to Birmingham to attend Howard College where she met her husband Donald (Ken) Dove. After college, she and Ken moved back to Kentucky, settled in Winchester, and had two daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth. Joe Ann worked as a teacher and then eventually became the Director of the Clark County Association of Handicapped Citizens until she retired. Joe Ann was dedicated to her faith and an active member of First Baptist Church for over fifty years. Joe Ann is survived by her daughters Catherine (Katy) Greene and Elizabeth Scott. Additionally survivors include husband to Elizabeth, John Scott, and grandchildren Zachary Greene, Lauren Greene, Sylvia Scott, and John (Wesley) Scott. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenneth Dove. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Winchester (32 E. Lexington Ave.) at 1pm on August 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11am and continue until the start of the service. Donations may be made in Joe Ann's honor to First Baptist Church 32 E. Lexington Ave. Winchester, KY 40391. Rolan G.
