Lewis Vanhoozer Obituary

VANHOOZER Lewis W. , 75, of Lexington, died Mon, May 22, 2006 at the VA Medical Center. Born in Pulaski County, KY, and a graduate of Eubank High School, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Vada Barnett Vanhoozer. Lewis was a U.S. Marine, retiring after 20 years with the rank of Master Sergeant serving his country honorably in Korea and Vietnam. After leaving the service, he worked in Lexington as a salesman for Tel-Rad Electronics and a driver for Bluegrass Limousine. Lewis was married to the late Mildred Couch Vanhoozer. Lewis is survived by his four children, Roy (Marrea) Vanhoozer, Lexington, Roger (Robin) Vanhoozer, Newcastle, OK, Vada Vanhoozer, Lexington, and Beverly (Robert) Seals, Tazewell, TN; two sisters, Barbara Gibson, Eubank, KY and Bettie Holdman, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; one grandson, Alexander Vanhoozer, Newcastle, OK; and numerous nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be 12 p.m., Thu at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by the Rev. Ronnie Hupp. Inurnment will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today (Wed).
