I only found out about Patsy last night when I was talking to a friend from Monticello. I am so sad and shocked. I knew Patsy from Cumberland College and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. We kept in touch for a while and I only had the privelege of meeting Jeff one time. How I regret not keeping in touch now. If only I had known, I would have come to the hospital to see her. I would have come and paid my respects, for if anyone is deserving it is Patsy. You can't put into words everything Patsy was. She was a special person with a radiant spirit and will continue to be so. Even though I hadn't made contact with Patsy in several years, I will miss knowing that she isn't there, for she was the kind of person that I could call at anytime and she would be there for me. I will pray for you, Jeff and your 2 sons, especially during this upcoming Holiday season.

Jeff,
I only learned yesterday of Patsy's passing. I extend deepest sympathy to you and your family. Many years ago, I had the privilege of working with her when she was a social worker in Grant Co. and I in Owen. She was a beautiful, bright, and wonderful person who was so much fun to be around. May God give you and your boys comfort.

Yunae, Grace, Robert, and Families,
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you. It was a privilege and honor to know Patsy. We grew up in the Immanuel Baptist Church and attended Monticello School together. I remember Patsy as a vibrant, happy, jolly, and loving person back then. She touched people's lives everywhere she went. My only regret is that I never saw Patsy after she became a wife and mother. How fortunate and blessed her husband and boys were to have her in their lives. Patsy will be sadly missed, but I will ALWAYS remember her with the fondest of memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Patsy’s Family,
It broke my heart when I heard of Patsy’s illness & passing. A loving soul who truly cared about others. I still have the little dolls she gave me to put on my nightstand to place your cares & worries (almost 20 yrs ago). After reading all the wonderful things about her in this Guest Book, it makes my heart glad to know she went on to have a wonderful family & professional life. Thank you Patsy for touching my life and for all the love you shared. You made a difference in this life.

Dear Bowling Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Patsy being so sick and then to hear of her passing. I went to Edgewood and grew up with her niece Tracy and mom is friends with her mother in law Zelma. What a tough time this family is having but I look at it is that Patsy is in heaven taking care of Grandpa Bowling and Douglas Clay. We'll all see them again someday. God Bless

I worked with Patsy for several years at the Cabinet. Her office was right across the hall and what I remember most about her was her smile, her ability to encourage me, and her love for the Lord, her family and the families of Kentucky. She truly had a sweet spirit that comes only from the Heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed. Her family is in my prayers.

To Patsy's family,
What a wonderful person Patsy was. We all grew up together in our small school, but I hadn't seen her in years, until last year. She had come to a ballgame I was also attending to visit with hometown friends. It was a pleasure to visit with her. One of the boys was with her, and the other was with Jeff at the moment. Such a small glimpse into her life, but so special now. My prayer is that her family can pick up the pieces in days to come and continue with the life she cherished for her family. You three were everything to her.

I have known Patsy for several years and got the privilege of working with her a few years ago in the Boyle Co. DCBS office. She exemplified the definition of a social worker and her kindness and empathy always showed in her work with the public. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Patsy brought some joy into my life at a very early age. She was my baby sitter, and even though I was incredibly young I remember how vibrant she was and how excited I would become when I knew she was coming to stay with me. Even though I have not seen her in my adult life it brought tears to my eyes to hear of her passing. My best wishes and all the fond memories I have are focused towards her and her family so that maybe this positive energy can help in their struggle while coming to terms with this tragedy.

For many years Patsy and I kept nursery together on Sunday nights, she taught my oldest child Brendan in Sunday School when he was 5,and she has been my neighbor for 12 years. We laughingly passed each other every day taking our kids to and from school. A more loving, devoted mother I have never known. The legacy of that love will live on in her two precious boys. I will continue to pray that God will wrap His arms around you and hold you in the days to come.

My first teaching job at Monticello High holds many special memories for me. Having Patsy in my class is one of them. I saw her again years later when I lived in Paris and she invited me to share Discovery Toys with her friends in Nicholasville. It breaks my heart to hear of her passing but I have no doubt that she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and life for all those who knew her. My sincere sympathies to all her family and friends.

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of attending college with Patsy. She was one of the most memorable and loved people we had met there. I will always remember her smile and personality..it would lite up a room when she entered. It saddened us greatly to hear of her passing. Heaven now is brighter. Our prayers for her family.

Tammy (Humble) Thomas

January 30, 2007

My prayers are with your family during this time. Even though Patsy went to Monticello and I went to Wayne County, in such a small town you knew everybody. I remember her being such a sweet person. The entries give such a witness that her life continued to be that way and was a witness to many.

In my Sunday School class at Highland Baptist Church this past Sunday, there was a prayer request for a young lady from Nicholasville who was not doing well. Little did I know we were praying for Patsy. Melinda Warford from Shelbyville (aunt of Vickie who was best friends with Patsy and kept the boys)mentioned Patsy as a prayer request, but the last name did not register with me until I saw the obituary. It truly is a small world.

Our family and our church will continue to remember your family in our prayers.

I am deeply sorry of Patsy's Passing. I have known Patsy for a number of years and had the pleasure of working side by side with her while I was with the Nicholasville Police Department. Patsy was a true friend and a joy to be around, and I also have had the privilege of being friends with her oldest son. I will truly miss her, and her smile, but I know that God is glad to have her home where he can look upon her smile. Although we haven't known Patsy & Jeff for very long, through our family at the Cottage Cafe (Rainbow) we came to know what a cheerful and wonderful woman Patsy was. Her smile was infectious and her personality one of a kind. I know it will be hard for Jared and Jacob to understand and accept this, but always know that your Mother is a part of you as you were a part of her. She lives on in you and will always be with you no matter what.

To Patsy's loving family,

I have known Patsy all my life as we grew up in the same church, worked at church camp together and she lovingly paved the way for me to come to Cumberland to room with her and DeeDee. She took me under her wings and nurtured me. I will also always treasure those memories of riding back and forth to college on the weekends listening to music, talking and laughing. She was always a bright light to all who knew her!

I admired her love and devotion to her family and to God and I know she continued that in her marriage to Jeff and to her beautiful boys.

Please know that I have continuously prayed for Patsy and you all during this month, and I will continue to pray for you all during this time of great loss.
May God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you!

I'll always love and miss you Patsy!

Patsy was an amazing woman. It seemed as if she could do anything to throw a smile on your face. She was extremely supportive of Jared, Jeff and Jacob, no matter what obstacles got in the way. She would come into either Brookside or EJMS every day it seemed like. Everyone at school, including the teachers knew Patsy was the coolest parent ever to walk the halls, because she would help anyone who needed it. Jeff, Jared & Jacob,
My heart goes out to you. Patsy was truly a remarkable woman, wife, and mother. She never met a stranger and was everybody's friend. There wasn't a child that she wouldn't be a mother to, a friend that she wouldn't be a sister to, an acquaintance that she wouldn't be a friend to and the list goes on. She could always find the silver lining when there seemed to be none. Her love for you was always so obvious and I don't think I know anyone else who gave so much to others. Her presence could always light up a room. I will miss my friend. My thoughts and prayers will stay with you all.

Patsy was such a sweet lady! Words can't describe how much she will be missed! She always had a smile on her face! We didn't know her as long as most but our children thought the world of Patsy! May the Lord be with you and your family during this difficult time!

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Patsy. I went to high school with her and remember her as always having a smile on her face. She was always very sweet to me. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

Patsy can now dress in beautiful "angel" clothing and truly fit the person she was here. Nicholas, Michael and I will miss her visits to her Mom's house in Monticello but we look so foward to Jarod and Jacob coming to Monticello to visit their Grandma. Nick and Mike will be waiting to play with you guys!! We love you guys and are praying God will wrap you up in His arms and comfort you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Patsy's entire family. I will miss her great sense of humor and her ability to talk to anyone. She was a great friend and co-worker. Patsy touched the lives of many children in Kentucky, and will be greatly missed. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Patsy is an amazing person, one whose absence from our community will be greatly felt. She and Jeff are raising some fine boys.
Patsy was such a lady. She knew exactly how to make people around her feel comfortable and at ease. When my son Ryan started first grade, she was there with Jared. As a first time mom, I was scared and uncertain. Patsy, in her calm and warm manner, introduced herself and we began talking. She eased my fears, lessened my anxiety, and helped me to see our boys would, in fact, survive first grade. They went on to share the third and fourth grades together, VBS, birthday parties, etc. What a blessing she has been to my family. We will all miss her so much.
She is with our Lord now and one day we'll all be together again. For now, she'll be watching over Jeff, Jared, Jacob and her family through the holes in heavens floor.

I am so sorry for you loss. I had the privilege to work with Patsy duing her tenure as a social worker. She was one of the nicest people I had ever met, she always had a sweet smile on her face. Everyone she came in contact with, she treated with respect and kindness. I feel blessed to have known Patsy and I share your sadness. I can truly say that she made a difference in so many ways. Heaven must be rejoicing to have such a special angel. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless.
