Ronald Reinhardt Obituary

REINHARDT Reverend Dr. Ronald Albert, 77, died Monday, July 30, 2012, after suffering a heart attack last week. He was born October 28, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Fred Albert and Ruth Young Reinhardt. Ron graduated from Atherton High School in Louisville, the University of Louisville, the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity and a Master of Theology and later obtained a Doctor of Ministry from the Lexington Theological Seminary. He served as the minister of several churches in Kentucky including the First Presbyterian Church of Glasgow, Hunter Presbyterian Church of Lexington, and Central Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Upon retirement, he later enjoyed serving as an interim pastor for several other Central Kentucky churches in the Transylvania Presbytery. He served as moderator of both the Presbytery of Louisville and Presbytery of Transylvania. Ron is survived by his wife, Nayda Marie Reinhardt; son, Ronald Craig Reinhardt (Mary); daughter, Cara Lynne Ritz (David) of Goshen, Kentucky; two grandsons, Andrew Scott Reinhardt and Samuel Taylor Reinhardt; and two nephews of his late sister, Janet Reinhardt Borie, Richard Borie (Margaret) and Kevin Borie (Terri) of Alabama. Visitation will be at 4-7pm on Thu at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. A funeral service will be held at Hunter Presbyterian Church at 10am on Friday with a private burial at the Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville thereafter. I consider it a blessing to have spent Mr. Reinhardt's final days with him and his precious family. I know from the stories I heard that he was a wonderful man and I wish I could have known him* My prayers are with your family.

When I was a little boy Mr. Reinhardt was my pastor in Glasgow. Craig was my best friend. I remember many happy times at their house. Mr. Reinhardt was a good man and I know he will be missed by many. My father also has cancer and we nearly lost him a couple of times, so I know what the family has had to go through. I am very sorry for your loss and will be thinking and praying for your family. Rest in peace Mr. Reinhardt, you are loved by many.
