Georgia Hayes Obituary
She was born on April 18, 1930, in George, Arkansas to Jasper & Melvinia Clark. She was born the 8th of 10 children. Georgia moved to California in 1952 where she met and married the love of her life, Rex, on April 5, 1952. She spent 73 love filled and happy years committed to her adoring husband.
Georgia could always be found gardening, cooking, baking, and reading. For her, nothing could top spending time with her treasured family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always willing to babysit and care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Georgia is preceded in death by her husband Rex, son Raymond, oldest daughter Laura, parents Jasper and Melvinia; sisters: Pina, Virginia, Nora, Louisiana, Opal and Artie; and her brothers: Jonah and Norman.
Georgia is survived by her sister Polly; daughters: Cathy (Cary) Shaw and Nancy (Robert) Asuncion; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, and countless extended family that will deeply miss her.
The family would like to extend thanks to Central Coast Senior Services and Honor's Staff, Georgia's caregiver Brianna, and Maria and the wonderful staff at Country Meadows Care Home.
Cathy and Nancy would like to thank Georgia for being a wonderful and loving mother!
Visitation will be 9:00am, Saturday May 17, 2025 at Eddington Funeral Services in King City, followed by graveside services 11:00am at King City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish, make donations to the Central Coast VNA.

On behalf of my family, we simply have enjoyed Georgia through.out the last 20 years. I loved Georgia's great smile and great kindness. She was so welcoming of seeing us and never wanted us to leave. I lived her 7nkayer Artichoke dip, hmmm she was a great chef! We loved Georgia and that love was returned to us. I am happy that Georgia and Rex are back together!
