Zoltan Treiner Obituary

Zoltan "Zoli" Treiner was born on April 15, 1964 in King City, CA. The third son of Tibor and Rosa Treiner, Zoli attended San Ardo Grammar School and was a member of the King City High School class of 1982, after which he attended Hartnell College.

Finding his calling in law enforcement, Zoli joined the California Highway Patrol in August of 1987. He served his community with integrity, honor, and distinction for nearly 27 years and on his 50th birthday, April 15, 2014, retired from the CHP.

Zoli enjoyed spending time at the beach. He loved restoring classic gas pumps and soda machines. He was a huge Rams fan and relished in watching them win two Super Bowls. However, his true pride and passion was his 1968 Dodge Charger that he meticulously and painstakingly rebuilt from the ground up, and now graces the cover of the official Dodge Charger 2024 calendar.

A 30-year resident of Paso Robles, CA, Zoli was called home into the arms of the Lord on October 22, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tibor Treiner, and his brother, Tibor Treiner, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Rosa Treiner, his brother, Laszlo (Betsy) Treiner, nieces Katie (Chris) Rogers and Angie Williams, great nieces Lizzy, Brinleigh, McKenna, and Ainsley, and great nephew Leyton.

A Memorial Services will be held, 10am, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City. A Celebration of Life will be held following the graveside inurnment.

Zoli was one of the best. We were classmates at KCHS. He was one who treated everyone equally. I wasn´t surprised the day I saw him in his CHP uniform. He will be missed.

We were classmates in the CHP academy. We called him "ZIGGY".
We started with 72 cadets, and we graduated 39.
The CHP academy has been said to be the most difficult law enforcement academy to graduate from. That is who he was.

One of my first memories of Zoli is when he took me for a ride in his old yellow Chevy on his 30th birthday. My daughters and their friends enjoyed going to his house after school, that´s where Riley first watched 90210. When Marley was there she would ask him if she could watch him work on his car and he would reply, "is your homework done?" Then she would proceed to ask him a ton of questions. He told me many times how he loved having the girls over, though most of the time he would be at work. He always had the fridge full for them. I´m thankful for the time we spent together, watching movies, talking about music and life. He was always busy taking care of other people. Bolen Dr. won´t be the same without you. I will miss you forever my friend.
