Bryan Ledbetter Obituary

LEDBETTER, BRYAN KELLY - October 26, 1983 - November 19, 2011. The Gift of Life. Bryan was a fun-loving guy who had the ability to make everyone feel like they were his best friend. Bryan was so moved by the tragedies of 9-11, he joined the Navy as a Master at Arms and served his country overseas. After returning home, he worked as a restaurant manager in Knoxville; as this was a natural fit for his personality. Bryan's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. He enjoyed sitting around with friends and family telling those stories only he could tell. Bryan will be celebrating Thanksgiving this year with his Lord and savior and will now have an eternity of stories to share. In the spirit of his loving nature, Bryan has donated his vital organs so that other families will be able to celebrate the gift of life. Bryan's heart will be gifted to a young mother that suffered a severe heart trauma during child birth and has not yet had the ability to hold her child. This gift will allow her to be the loving mother her child needs. Bryan's liver and kidney will be gifted to a Doctor who had contracted hepatitis in the pursuit of serving his patients. This gift will allow the Doctor to continue practicing medicine and hopefully save many lives in the process. Bryan touched many lives while here on earth and this spirit will live on in these recipients. The celebration of Bryan's life will be held at Redemption Church International on Saturday November 26, 2011 at Twelve Noon. The Church is located at 3550 Pleasant Ridge Road Knoxville, TN 37921. Arrangements by East Tennessee Mortuary Service, 255 South Peters Road Knoxville, TN 37923 865.539.2458.

Kelly & Bonnie,

Thank you for bringing Bryan into our family and raising him to be such a terrific young man. Words can't express the feeling of loss and the void that is left in our family. We may never get over it, but we can get through it, especially with knowing we will be reunited. You continue to be in our prayers.

November 29, 2011

Dear Kelly and Bonnie
We just want you to know that you are and will continue to be in our prayers. We also believe that Bryan Kelly is with Jesus and that only He can fully understand.
Our Love goes out to you both.

Kelly,

Ben and I are so sorry for your loss. We can't imagine what you are going through. I met Bryan when he helped at Ben's father's wedding. He was so sweet and such a great guy. Working together must have been awesome. I just finished reading "Heaven is for Real" and it's a child's story of what he sees in Heaven. Bryan is so happy right now - meeting old relatives and walking with Jesus. He can see you both greeving now and wants to tell you that he is happy and he will see you soon. The relationship that you have had with your son is not/will not be forgotten in Heaven. So remember that he knows you love him and you will see him soon.
Love,

It has been a long time since I have seen you. I have been praying for you both, as well as, for Michael every day since I received the call from my mom. My entire church family is praying for you all, too.
Lord Jesus,
I lift up my family to you now. I pray for peace, strength, heavenly wisdom, comfort, healing, & protection over each one of them. I did not know this young man or his family. But I would like to express my thanks for the gift he has given these families in donating his vital organs. My father is currently awaiting a kidney transplant and it reallly does make me very happy to see individuals giving of themselves in such a unselfish manner.

Bryan, I never met you in person but felt like I knew you through the Lentz family and facebook. You were way too young to leave this earth and I am sorry I never got to meet you. You meant a lot to a lot of people and I know you will be missed greatly. Your gift of your organs to improve others' lives was testimonial to how people spoke of you. I know you were loved and now you have true peace. Prayers for your family and friends

Bryan truly was a great guy! He brought a lot of joy to my sister and parents as well as everyone who knew him. I regret I didn't get to spend more time with him, but the times I did left a great impression on me. He will always be a part of our family and we will never forget his smile and charming personality.
