Johnson City, TN
Darren Keith Cross age 46 of Johnson City, passed away at his home. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. He was an Army Veteran serving in Desert Storm. Preceded in death by grandparents, Claude and Carrie Cross and John Chitwood and Billie Sherrill. Survived by his parents, Darrell and Beverly Cross; son, Brodie Dane ; sisters, Stacey (Frank) DeAngelo, Gina (John) Lothrop, Kristi Cross, and Bethany (Brandon) Metcalf; special nieces and nephews, Alex, Nicky, Kyler, Gracey, Mason, Valerie, Jonah and Jordan; brother-in-law, James Ray; close friend, Lonnie Keller. Graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, September 8, 2017, 11:30 am at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery . Brother Billy Bell officiating. Darren was a sweet soul. I'll remember all the funny things that he would do. I remember when Billy and I took the youth on a trip to FL . he was so well behave.
I thank God for allowing us to be friends with this family. We love all of you so much. Our hearts are broken over this and pray that God's will comfort all of you.
