Darryl Beaton Obituary

BEATON, DARRYL GRANT - age 49, resident of Oak Ridge, was welcomed home by the Lord December 2, 2009. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was born in Paris, TN and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1978. Darryl graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1983 with a B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville and was employed as a Project Manager for Alstom Power, Inc. Darryl was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Beaton. He is survived by; his wife of 29 years, Leisa Atwill Beaton; three children, Bobby, a resident of Knoxville, Brian, a junior at Oak Ridge High School, and Emily, a freshman at Oak Ridge High School; mother, Pauline Beaton of Big Sandy; mother-in-law, Nancy Atwill of Fulton, KY; brother-in-law, Craig Atwill and wife, Christy, and their children, Matthew, Austin and Clare of Union City. The family will receive friends at Weatherford Mortuary, 158 S. Jefferson Circle, Oak Ridge, from 4:00 - 6:00pm on Sunday, December 6, followed by a service at 6:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Monday, December 7 at 1:00pm. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Frontlines Ministry or Generations Fund at Grace Baptist Church, 7171 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville, TN 37931.
