Eugene Shuler, age 74, of Knoxville, went to be with Jesus on December 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Gene was a member of Loveland Baptist Church and retired owner of Shuler Construction Company. He was an enrolled member of The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Gene enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and going to karoke singing with his son Anthony. He was a wonderful grandfather and was always supportive of his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, Thurman Shuler; mother and step-father, Phoebe and Fred Sharp; brother, Donald Sharp; sister-in-law, Sandra Warwick. Survivors: loving wife of 52 years, Sheila Shuler; son, Anthony Shuler; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Teri Shuler; grandsons, Jordan, Blake, Austin and Dallas; granddaughter, Carly Shuler; great-grandson, Bryson; brothers, David and Thurman Shuler, Fred and Larry Sharp; sisters-in-law, Judy Darakshani, Donna Sharp, Judy Shuler, Sharon Shuler, Patsy Sharp, and Mary Alice Sharp; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to Crystal and Angela with U.T. Hospice and Home Health for their loving care and kindness. Funeral service 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Stevens Chapel with Rev. Mark Large officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m., Thursday at Highland Memorial Park South on Chapman Highway for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Blake and Austin Shuler, Ernie Warwick, Matthew and Mark Shuler, Rusty McCroskey, Wayne Newman and Kamron Darakshani. Honorary pallbearer and spouse, Paul and Mary Shuler.
