Joy Kay McMahan Nelson, age 59, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Joy is preceded in death by parents, John and Ruby McMahan. She is survived by husband of 33 years, Scott Nelson; sons, Richard Reynolds and David Nelson; grandchildren, Kyila and Kevin Nelson and Cameron Reynolds Crowley; sisters, Karen Cooper, Sharon Ramsey, Angela Long and Marlene Wright; brothers, Thomas McMahan, David McMahan, Mark McMahan and Mike McMahan.
