LOGAN COFFEY Obituary

COFFEY, LOGAN DARYL - born June 3, 2002, and with his passing on Saturday, December 6, 2014, Heaven gained a sweet little angel. Logan courageously fought a hard fight and is not suffering anymore. Logan overcame incredible odds and touched the hearts of all who knew him with his beautiful smile, his laugh, and his strength. He inspired us all to believe that each and every day is a blessing. Logan loved long hugs, music, and especially his dog Riley. Logan's life is one to be celebrated. He is now healed and has his perfect body. He is running, playing, and spending Christmas with Jesus and his Mamaw Shirley. Logan was a blessing to all those around him and will be forever in our hearts. He has been and will always be the center of God's perfect plan. It has been a privilege to be his parents. Logan's honor will live on in his parents, Jeff and Kristy Coffey of Morristown; grandparents, Everette Stansberry of Strawberry Plains and Bobby and Linda Coffey of Russellville; aunt, Jamie Howard; and cousins, Lauren and Jordan Howard of New Market. Logan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Stansberry; and his uncles, Bobby Darrell Coffey and Tracy Howard. A special thanks for the enormous amount of love and care from his nurses in the home-Lori Gilliam, Sarah Johnson and Tonya Linkous. Also, Children's Hospital and Pediatric Pulmonology Specialists, Morristown EMS, and teacher, Doyle Wolfe. Much gratitude to our Old Dominion and Regions Bank families for their love and dedication throughout the years, along with many others too numerous to mention. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at Manley Baptist Church in Morristown from 6:00-8:00 pm, with a celebration of life to follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Glenn Starnes and Barry Bean officiating. Graveside services will be on Wednesday December 10th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 134th Security Forces Santa Corps, Air National Guard, who provide Christmas for patients at Children's Hospital. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.

Kristi and Jeff, Becky my daughter has told me so much about Logan. I am so sorry for the road of grief you must travel but I know that there will be so many memories to carry you. I can see the big smile on Logan's face as he was swept up into the loving arms of Jesus and know that one day you will be there to share in the joy of seeing your precious son walk and run. May you feel the comfort of our loving God surround you and hold you as you go down this road. Logan could not have had two better parents. With prayers and love sent your way.
