Martha Edwards Lytle, age 96, went to Heaven April 13, 2017. She was a Christian, and loved to spend every Sunday watching various ministers on television. She especially enjoyed watching Dr. David Jeremiah. Martha worked many years for JC Penney at the Gay Street location. She never met a stranger. She always had a smile for everyone. She was born in Jellico, Tennessee to Samuel and Ollie Mae Edwards, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Rebecca Lytle; brother, Sam Edwards; David H. Lytle, Sr., father of her children; and many family members and friends. Martha is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Woods; son, David H. Lytle (Margarita Ivanova); grandchildren, Randy Carr, Jim Woods, Kara Reece-Carr, Curtis Lytle, Donna (Bob) Hauge, Amy (Kenny) Barket, Karen (Tina Seger) Schoenharl, Scott (Teresa Esterle) Schoenharl, Dan Schoenharl; great-grandchildren, Jackson Carr, Jessica (Ben) Jefferies, Josh Bishop, Adam (Lori) Bishop, Ben (Jen) Bishop, and Aaron Barket; great-great-grandchildren, Chloe Bishop, Winston True Bishop, Austin Bishop, Rebecca Bishop, Jacob Siglock, Noah Siglock, and Benson Bishop; great-grand dog, Braxton Carr; cousins, Nancy Torres and Louise Weaver; special niece, Julie (Philip) Conn; great-niece, Andrea (Shon) Foley; Broadway Towers family, Beulah, Linda, Tonya, Cynthia, Ernie, Alan, Viveca, Robert, Anita, and many more. Heartfelt thanks to: Dr. William Broome III and staff for many years of care, love, and support; Dr. Joseph Googe and staff; Dr. Heather Sandberg and staff; Dr. Lee Congleton III and staff; Dr. Richard DePersio and staff; Dr. Daniel Green and staff of Blount Memorial Hospital; Dr. Philip McDowell and Dr. Micah Hatch, and their assistants of UT Hospital; the nursing staff of UT Hospital; the pharmacy staff of CVS Pharmacy 2800 Broadway; the staff of West Hills Health and Rehab; Dr. Pearman, Nikko, Reverend Ben Neal, Tammy Brady, and the entire staff of UT Hospice for their amazing care and support.

The family celebrated Martha's life on Saturday, April 15th, at Click Funeral Home on Middlebrook Pike. Reverend Ben Neal officiated. Burial followed at Highland Memorial Cemetery Sutherland Avenue. www.clickfh.com.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I had seen this earlier and could have attended the memorial. I grew up next door to Martha and Sue. There was not two sweeter people on this earth. Martha was a precious soul and I fondly remember her, her beautiful smile and her laughter. May God bring comfort to you her family during this difficult time.
