Verita Aalbue Obituary

Verita Ann Murray Aalbue, age 80, of St. Augustine, Fla., died peacefully in her home June 28, 2003. Verita Aalbue, formerly of Keansburg, N.J., had lived in St. Augustine for many years. Verita was a graduate of Montifore Hospital in New York as an LPN. Verita served as past president of the Keansburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the choirs and PTA, St. Ann Catholic Church, Keansburg, N.J. Verita also was a volunteer school monitor at West Lake Village, Calif., for four years. She was a former fundraiser for March of Dimes in four states, New Jersey, Colorado, California and Florida. She was a former home care nurse in St. Augustine for two years.

Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Flowers are gratefully declined; those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to Community Hospice Northeast 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Verita is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William Walter Pearson Aalbue. Her loving family of children: Thomas Aalbue, West Virginia; Howard Aalbue, Craig, Colo., and her daughter, Nancy Pearson, St. Augustine. Grandchildren, Rebecca Romaine, Eric Aalbue and Kelly Dawn Aalbue. Great- grandchildren,: Kohl Aalbue and Ella Romaine. Her loving niece and nephew, Sherri and Ed McGann.

Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
