Yu Chun Chen

CHEN, MR. YU CHUN - 81, a resident of Farragut and formerly of Taipei, Taiwan, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010. He was born May 13, 1929 in Taiwan. He earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University. He worked for the power plant of Taiwan Power Company for a few years before starting an import export business company - Yu Chang Enterprise LLC where he worked until his retirement in 1993. Outside of work, he was a dedicated father, husband and grandfather, who enjoyed traveling and was known for being able to fix anything. He delighted in making puzzles and small models, singing karaoke with his fellow friends as "Karaoke Club" group. Mr. Yu Chun Chen also enjoyed time spent joining on various activities with his church, the Bread of Life Christian Church in Knoxville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shu Hui Kong Chen. He is survived by: three sons, Dr. Chang Wen Chen, wife Connie of Farragut and granddaughter Jessica Chen of Memphis, TN; Chan Chih Chen, wife Eunice of San Jose, CA and grandson Kevin of Urbana, IL; Chang Keng Chen, wife Hui Yu of Taipei, Taiwan and 3 grandchildren Shiun Der Chen, Shiun Wei Chen and Shiun Ni. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August, 28, 2010 from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jonathan Chiu officiating.
