Jamie Barker Obituary

KENDALLVILLE - Jamie Adam Barker, 62, went home to be with The Lord on May 3, 2024.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1961, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Vencil Ray Barker and Bonnie Holmes, who preceded him in death. His brother; Danny Jay Barker, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sisters, Nicole Harness (Randy), of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Gina Jacques (Rick), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lisa Harris (Harold), of Smyrna, Georgia, and Trina Caudill (Josh), of Waterloo, Indiana; and brother, Dwayne Barker (Pam), of Rockford, Illinois; and best friend, Jim Perkins, partner in crime and who understood him more than anyone.

Jamie retired two years ago and was enjoying doing what he wanted to do when he wanted to do it. He loved watching old movies and he loved John Wayne. He enjoyed being with his family and being with the nieces and nephews and visiting his great-nieces frequently. He also enjoyed going out to eat, going to movies and traveling with his best friend Jim. He will be missed for his story-telling and laughter telling jokes. He will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts until we see him again.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local charity of your choice in honor of Jamie.
