Levonia Thompson Obituary

Levonia D. Thompson ,93, of Easton, Missouri passed away Friday, August 15, 2025. She was born November 14, 1931 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Mamie and Charles Hensley. She married Ronald Lee Thompson on November 13, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO and they shared 65 years together. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Levonia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronald Lee Thompson, daughter, Terry Decker, son, Ronald Dean Thompson Jr., sisters, Laura Belle Hendrix and Shirley Brendle, daughter-in-law, Terry (Hampton) Thompson and grandson, Shawn Blair. Survivors include son, Danny Lee (Linda) Thompson of Stewartsville, MO, daughter, Vicky (Joe) Coss of St. Joseph, MO, son-in-law, Mark Decker of Stewartsville, MO, 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thompson has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Visitation and Memorial Service will take place at a later date at the Church of the Brethren, 502 Kentucky St, St Joseph, MO 64504.
