Roger Powell Obituary

Roger Earl Powell 73, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at his home. Born on August 6, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO, he was the son of the late Mary Lou and Robert Powell. Roger graduated from Stewartsville High School, and was the Owner Operator of Roger Powell Trucking. He had a passion for truck pulls and drag racing. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lee Powell of St. Joseph, MO; his stepson, Tim Resler and wife Cecelia of Wathena, KS; his stepdaughter, Tracy Verdoorn and husband Mark of Platte City, MO; his sister, Jenan Myers and husband Jay; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and a public live stream will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating.
