Adrian Doyle Obituary

Adrian John Doyle, 85, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Adrian was born on November 15, 1939, in Tama, Iowa, the son of Robert F. and Edna (Hagge) Doyle. He graduated from Toledo High School. Adrian was married to Patty Atchison and then later married Marlene Nachazel. He farmed and also worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown, retiring after thirty-seven years. Adrian enjoyed antique tractors and driving around looking at the crops. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Survivors include his children, Derb (Jane Currier) Cherry of Tama, Tim Steuhm of Amarillo, TX, Heidi Doyle of Toledo; four grandchildren, Brandon (Morgan) Thorn, Keaton Thorn, Rachel Steuhm and Taylor (JohnMark) Avila; step-children, Steve (Mary) Nachazel of Iowa City, Connie (Rod) Haughey of Corpus Christi, TX, and Lynne Hurlburt of Corpus Christi, TX; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Mary) Doyle of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marlene; and brother, Mike (Joleen) Doyle. A memorial fund will be established.
