Vickie Ann Terry

Vickie Ann Terry, 59, passed away peacefully on Jan. 26, at her home in Clairfield surrounded by family, love and laughter. She was the oldest of seven born to Louise and Trulen Carroll, Jr. (stepdad) on March 13, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio. Vickie is survived by her husband, Donny Terry; her daughters, Tonya Potter of Dayton, Ohio, April Jarocki of Clairfield, Tara Terry of Athens, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tabitha Potter-Cornett, Geneva McLearran, Diamond Cornett, Earl McLearran, Rita-Ann McLearran, Chyann Long, Donny Jarocki and Willow Jarocki along with several nieces and nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by, Donny Terry, Jr. (stepson) and her grandmother, Lucy Templin. Vickie was a devoted mother and wife, she loved to work in her yard, cooking for family and friends, was an avid reader, and a fierce protector of the mountains. She wanted everyone to be happy, she always said "no grumps allowed." Her character and temperament can best be shown from the time she was diagnosed with lung cancer in Feb. 2017 until her passing. Vickie had every right to cry, be mad, or even give up after her diagnoses, but instead she loved and lived every moment she was given, neither hard times, nor cancer would rob her of who she was. Always encouraging, and determined to fight.
Mom, our lives will forever be changed without you. You are the most loving, caring soul we will ever know. Your memory will shine on always.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Vickie mid-spring where her ashes will be scattered. It was her wishes to wait until it was warm. Flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to paypal.me/apriljarocki.
