Clara Hanson Obituary

Clara Striplin Hanson, 89 of LaGrange, GA formerly of Shiloh, GA died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Poplar Creek Assisted Living in LaGrange, GA.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hanson was born April 12, 1925 in Roopville, GA the daughter of L. A. and Jennie Lee Cammon Striplin. She retired as Information Clerk for many years with the Roosevelt-Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Shiloh, GA and was preceded in death by her husband William Fred Hanson, Sr. daughter Gwen Hanson; sisters Ethel, Ellen, Eris, Iris, Joan and Bonnie.

She is survived by her son and his wife Bill and Margaret Hanson of LaGrange, GA ; sister Dot Steed of Roopville, GA; grandchildren: Melissa Hammonds, Kristi Nelson, John Hanson, Keri Lindsey and Dana Cobb and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Hanson to West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Ga.
