Sue Beam Obituary
September 9, 1946 - November 18, 2024
Sue M Beam, nee Suzanne Marguerite Smith died in Hospice Care. Sue was adopted in Chicago by Mel and Ann Smith of Arlington Hgts, Ill, and was raised with her adopted sister, Karen. She was active in outdoor sports, skating, snow and water skiing & golf. Family vacations in Western US and Canada imbued Sue with love for mountains. Sue earned a BA in Education, taught grades 1-4 for a decade, and owned & managed a Hallmark Store in Lake Geneva, Wisc. Sue was active in Lioness and enjoyed travel. Her home and garden in Colo. Springs afforded her the pleasures of being outside and accessing the mountains she loved. Sue is survived by her sister, a close friend, and other relatives. A private mountain ceremony will celebrate her life.
