Hi Sandy and Ted,

Mr. Andrew, as he was affectionately known at DocuSystems Nashville, was much more than the pioneer, businessman and diplomat that poeple knew him as. He was a true lover of people at all levels. I can remember the first time I met him and he immediately was like my "Dad". He wanted nothing more than greet all (I mean, all) of the folks that worked there, especially the Sidco ones he was so close to. Once I asked him if I could attend the 25 year club and he gave me the most polite "no" I have ever received. I never enjoyed it so much for he had such a touch with humanity. Even as time was going by and he didnt have all of his faculties, it never prevented him from touching others and make them feel good to not only be part of the company but most importantly be part of him.

Sandy, you are a great credit to his legacy and Ann Flannery and I respect you as we did him.

We wish you, Ted and the entire McNally family cheer in the celebration of his life, love and accomplishments.

God Bless you always.

My condolence on the loss of your father. Although my encounters were brief, they were always enjoyable. He was a true gentleman that obviously cared for those that worked for Rand McNally and others with whom he interacted.

To the Family of Andrew III,

Many people do not get the opportunity to meet and know a person of the stature of your Dad. We are pleased to have had this experience. He was a great man and indeed left a Legacy of his own. Our sincerest sympathies to the family; your Dad will be missed.

I would like to express my condolences to the family. Having worked for RMC for 16 years, I have yet to find a place that matched the time I spent there. Thank you and my deepest sympathy

To the McNally Family

It was my pleasure to work for the McNally's for 30 years. Those were the good days. I did the expense reports and sometimes I even got it right.

A loss to the "magic" of Wellesley Island and its history. So many fond memories of the Island and seeing your Dad on his annual rounds to visit "Paradise Point". He and my Dad were fellow Yalies and always enjoyed their visits. Hope they are commiserating in the hereafter. Deepest sympathy. Gail Gerling Ogden, Aurora, Illinois

I worked for Rand McNally for over 30 years. This was the first real job I ever had and continued on until they sold the Company several years ago. I was a member of the 25 year club and had the pleasure of knowing this outstanding man for years. He was a true pioneer in the printing business as was his father before him. I will carry fond memories of the company and the man for the rest of my life. I have a great deal to thank Mr. McNally for. I extend my utmost respects to the whole McNally family.

Sandy McNally's services to The Art Institute of Chicago and particularly to its Libraries are greatly appreciated. He always did the right (and generous) thing, with a twinkle in his eye. A gentleman first, last, and always, he will be missed.

Andrew McNally III was a gentlemen of the first order who I had the pleasure of serving as Executive Director of the Illinois Bicentennial Commission. Of all the people I've known in my 61 years, he was absolutely at the top of he list in all categories. There certainly were no others like him nor will there likely ever be in the future. While a huge loss, a life well lived and served. Sincere condolences to all those who loved him.
