Anna Shay

Anna Shay, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by her son and his family on June 1, 2023. She lived a full life on a global scale; born in Tokyo, Japan to Edward A. and Ai O. Shay, she moved to the United States with her family when she was a child, residing in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. After graduating from The Buckley School and attending the University of Southern California and other colleges, she dedicated her considerable talents to the arts, with her boundless passion directed toward the music and film industry. Her fearless and adventurous spirit even led her to learn to fly a helicopter, when she met her future husband, Ken Kemp, a third-generation firefighter. They shared three wonderful years together and bore a son, Kenneth Edward Kemp. After separating and raising Ken on her own, she developed a keen interest in philanthropy, travel, and fashion. During that time, she became more notable in the public eye, so much that she starred in the hugely popular Netflix reality show, "Bling Empire." Anna's charismatic and loving personality touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She gave her whole, generous heart to every cause she passionately pursued, and lived her life unequivocally with a mission to love fiercely and to protect those dearest to her, while always helping others in need. Her zeal for living life fully and taking on life's challenges head-on will be passed down for generations. Her legacy lives on with her son, Ken, her daughter-in-law, Nicolette, and her granddaughter, Alessi, along with her extended family.
