So many things remind me of you here at Carson. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't mention your name or remember something that you said or did. Just so you know, your boots are hard to fill, and God broke the mold when he created you! Your example motivated me to be a better person. Thanks for showing me and teaching me! God Bless you and your family.

Brian was colleague and friend at CSN. He was a working cop as well as a fantastic supervisor that the troops truly trusted. During my week break-in period as field/watch sergeant, we went 10-15 with a stolen gun out of St. Louis on an OBS! We also shared a love of aviation and went to many airshows together. He was a wonderful husband to Terri and a terrific father to his kids. We will all miss him but know that he will receive God's good grace.

Sarge, Thanks for being you, you had a way of making your deputies feel glad that you were 10-8 when it came to them doing there job. You would tell it like it was. You will be missed, may God bless your family and keep them safe. CAS, 1998-2010.

I will always remember our conversations of endless topics, but the space shuttle landings at Edwards AF Base would bring out that wonderful smile. "Sarge, have any photo to show me of the landing?" Of course he did, and it was our special time together sharing his love for flying. Sarge, NASA scrapped the program, knowing you would not be there to protect and guide the crew to a safe landing.

You always were our protector and teacher, and will continue to do so from heaven with your golden wings and flight suit. I will never forget you!

Thanks Sarge for being a wonderful supervisor and friend. It has been a pleasure working with you since 1996. Your voice heard over the the PA system "Briefing b-r-i-e-f-i-n-g in two minutes" at the start of PM Shift will be greatly missed. PM's just won't be the same. May GOD continue to bless your family and give them comfort and strength in the days ahead. Thank you Stover family for sharing this wonderful person with us.

I remember my first "baby not breathing" call. Sarge arrived seconds before me and we ran inside the home. He immediately performed CPR and the baby began breathing. He saved her life!!!.... The following day we visited her at Harbor UCLA Med Ctr. She was doing fine. I will never forget Sergeant Stover!!!... Love, Roberson (Lessie)

He loved aviation and being a cop. 160S/P, he hated to be on the desk he wanted to be out of the station. I thank him for taking me under his wing as a young patrol sergeant, and advising me to make sure I am there for the guys. I will miss our talks, see you in Heaven!!

Brian will be missed. In addition to his work as a Sergeant in the LASD, he was also a Lt.Col. in the USAF Auxiliary and commander of San Fernando Senior Squadron 35. He was a man of tremendous energy, enthusiasm and inspiration. Whenever faced with a challenge, the words he often used around the Squadron will echo forevermore; "Let's get it done!"

Sergeant Stover ! A great man and great supervisor. We had a few discussions about police work and tactics. He was always there for me and the many deputies he supervised. I will keep the good memories forever. He was a great role model. Thank you Mrs. Stover and kids for sharing him with us for so many years. It was always fun to learn from him. He always said "Me and the Sheriff have both peaked in our careers". He was proud to be 160S PM's. I will miss him. God bless you and keep you. We will see him in Heaven.

If you remember "LET'S GO PLAY IN THE STREETS" and "GET BACK TO YOUR R-D", you had the pleasure and the honor of working for one of the most outstanding field sergeants in this department. Our prayers are with his family in this difficult time. Sarge please continue to watch over us from heaven,,,,,,,

I played a practical joke on Brian when he was a new Sergeant to Carson, and man did it back fire on me. He wasn't mad he just got me better than I got him. I miss that big smile that would make you feel good inside. I will miss him greatly.

I met Brian in 1990 and then we worked together again at CSN from 1996-2006. I regard him as on of my first supervisors. We have shared countless briefings, 911B's and calls for service over the years. You had our back and we have yours. God speed 160S.

Gonna miss you Sarge. I always knew you had our backs whenever we were out playing in the streets. Its amazing how much of an impact you had on us at work and how much we miss you. You were one of those supervisors who genuinely cared about his deputies and I'll never forget that.

By the way, thanks for introducing me to Portillos and I'm watching a Cubs game as I type this. God bless....

I had the honor of working with Brian at Carson many years ago. The memories working with him are many. He saved the day one evening with one of his "gadgets" he always carried with him. Had it not been for Brian I think we would have still been banging on a car window in an effort to resolve the most comical pursuit some of us had been involved in. I am going to miss you my friend. May the Lord hold your family in the grip of His Grace.

April 8, 2013

I had the pleasure of working with Brian, affectionately called "Moley", from the Disney movie "The Wind and the Willow." He was fair in his decision making and I always felt that he had the Deputies best interest at heart. He will be truly missed!!!

Sarge, you were a man, a cop that we all strived to be. You were there for us when we needed guidance and help. You were always there to protected us. We relied on your experience and wisdom to help guidance through many of your challenges in our career. Thanks for sharing your life with us and keeping us safe..

Brian was a great Supervisor to work for when I was assigned at Carson Station. He became a friend when I had my battle with cancer in 2008. He was always very supportive and preached God's Word to me in my time of darkness. Not only will I miss him and his friendship, but so will many others that he worked with it. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

Brian and I started as patrol sergeants over 20 years ago and he never left. There was nothing in his professional life that excited him more than being "10-8" and watching over his deputies. Now we all have 160S watching our backs from heaven. God bless the Stover family.
