Ellie Gordon Obituary

April 8, 1946 - February 10, 2018 After a valiant battle with breast cancer, Ellie passed away, peacefully, at her home in Pacific Palisades with her husband of 47 years, Dr. Earl Gordon, at her side. Ellie was born and raised in Montreal, and her heart remained there during the five decades she spent living in the United States. She was the beloved mother to her twin children, Elizabeth (Charles) and Stephen (Amanda); devoted bubbie to five grandchildren, Jane, Ethan, Ben, Jonathan, and Marielle; cherished sister of Anne Shuster and sister-in-law of Dr. Phil and Rosalie Gordon; and loving aunt of Laurel, Elliot, Jay, and Danny. She was predeceased by her parents, Fay and Sam, and by her dear brother, Matthew (Cheryl). Ellie had a wide range of interests and loves, including stained glass, geology, Scotland, and Bruce Springsteen, but her greatest among them was her husband Earl. She is being buried in Montreal. Per her request, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Greenpeace. The family will be sitting shiva on Saturday, February 17th, Sunday, and Monday evenings at their family home in Pacific Palisades.
