Marvin Watson Obituary

REIDSVILLE - Marvin Douglas Watson died Monday at the Moses Cone Hospital. He was a native of Dawson, Ga. and a resident of Greensboro for the majority of his life. Mr. Watson was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1957 and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retiree of Mabe Trucking Company and was an avid sportsman.
Survivors are: one sister, Vanessa Shorter and spouse, Joseph of Atlanta, Ga.; half brother, Eddie Murray of Albany, Ga.; former wife, Lena Badgett; special friends, Sydney Casey and Norris Beveridge; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Bishop Marcus Daniel presiding.
