James Sonsini Obituary

SONSINI , James Anthony
Passed away on April 4, 2007 after a brief illness. "Jamie" was born in Rome, NY on July 7, 1922. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the South Pacific. Following his military service, Jamie married Tina Surace and they started their family. In 1959, the Sonsini family moved to Los Angeles where Jamie worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. Everyone on his route in Studio City, including the dogs, loved him. After his retirement in 1984, he and his wife Tina traveled extensively. Jamie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Tina, sons Jamie and John, daughter Cecelia, and his grandchildren Emma and Megan. He is also survived by his brothers Larry, Joseph and Roger, and many nieces and nephews for whom he was very special . We will miss him terribly, but are comforted knowing he is at peace.
A Catholic Mass and service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary in Mission Hills.
