Leonard Reid Obituary

Leonard Reid PhD, 91 of Sherman Oaks, CA passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on May 16th, 2025. Len was born on January 18, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Pathology from UCLA, then his Masters from USC. He went on to obtain his PhD in clinical Audiology from Pacific University, and built his private practice in the San Fernando Valley until he retired in 2016. He was a pillar of inspiration and mentor to both friends and family, offering quiet encouragement and wisdom that helped many. Len was forever adventurous, learning how to fly both fixed wing aircraft, as well as helicopters, hang gliding, parachuting, scuba diving and sailing. His greatest passion was performing at the Magic Castle, in Hollywood, CA. He amazed audiences with his charisma, storytelling, and mastery of illusion. In addition to numerous accomplishments, Len was an avid supporter of the philanthropic organization of Kiwanis International.

Len is survived by his loving wife, Leslie, his two children Daniel and Leslie.
