My Dearest Rose and Vince,
Christine and I are deeply saddened and extremely sorry. It is our prayer that God continue to strengthen you, and GOD grace HIS peace in both your hearts and minds.
When I look back at his life as our neighbor on Lemac street, I remember the first time we met little 6 year old Nicholas; he was so ready to make friends with Christine. I can never forget how they mastered the Super Mario games after playing for hours at a time on the weekends. He was always there for her at her little birthday parties. On Lemac Street, they were like two peas in a pod.
Nicholas was there for Christine and I during the time I had surgery and even though he was a very young 8 years of age, with remarkable sensitivity and compassion he understood her sadness and fear and as a true friend helped her through that time; he wanted to play a little bit more than usual and he was just there for her and that in turn contributed to my healing. Nicholas had a true gift that has even now touched many lives. His life here on earth as well as his home going is and will be a great testimony because I believe with all my heart he has made a difference in lives that have never known him. We still treasure his school picture of six years of age that he gave us and we'll always remember Nick as little Nicholas our neighbor.
Love always and with love in Christ,
Carmen and Christine Vest
