P.N. Divakaran

Diva was born in Kerala, India and received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Gov't Victoria College in Palakkad, Kerala. He held various leadership positions at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India and handled with exceptional skill the travel arrangements of American VIP visitors such as President Carter. He was recognized by President Carter for how flawlessly and meticulously he had arranged the President's visit to India in January of 1978. Due to his innovative management of travel operations in New Delhi, India, he was given a special immigration to the U.S. In the US, he was a small business owner and started his own Travel Agency that operated for nearly 30 years. In his personal life, he was a loving father and husband. He married Pushpa in 1976 and she was the love of his life. Those who knew him admired him for being kind, loving and jovial. He is survived by his wife Pushpa, son Anil, daughter-in-law Dhanya and grandchildren Laya and Arya. Memorial services will be held on 10/6/2021 2pm at the Memory Garden Memorial Park & Mortuary in Brea.
