Pablo Vitar Obituary

Pablo P. Vitar, 41, died on January 29 after a brave 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Born in Los Angeles, Pablo graduated from Loyola High School and continued his education at UC Berkeley.

Pablo was a proud 11 year veteran of the LAPD. While with LAPD he worked as part of the elite Hollywood Vice team. In addition, his likeness was used in the Department’s highly successful recruiting campaign. At the time of his diagnosis he was in the process of transitioning to the private sector. As an entrepreneur, Pablo had made a number of successful real estate investments and most recently developed an underdeveloped Hollywood warehouse into the photography and soundstage complex known as Bellevarado Studios.

Pablo passionately embraced life as an active member of the community, baseball coach and dedicated friend to many.

Pablo is survived by his loving wife Gail, children Emily, Alexis, and Dominic, parents Pablo and Aurora, grandmother Mercedes, sister Elizabeth and husband Johnny, brother Mike and wife Kym, and a caring extended family.

Rosary will be held on Feb. 4, 6:30 p.m., and Funeral Services Feb. 5, 10a.m., at St. John Eudes, 9901 Mason Ave., Chatsworth, CA.
