Ray Taylor Obituary

September 30, 1927 - June 2024 Ray Taylor lived a long and productive life, active until well into his 90's, always full of energy and enthusiasm.
His favorite hobbies were Gin, Golf, painting, along with riding horses and fishing.
As a young man he worked as an ad salesman for KMPC radio.
As he neared 40, he decided he wanted a new occupation, and decided to go to law school.
He enrolled and spent every lunch hour studying for the Bar.
He failed the first time, and came home more determined than ever to retake the test.
The second time he passed with flying colors. He left KMPC and opened a private law practice in Brentwood.
He was extremely successful, and did not retire until in his 70's.
After that he and his wife traveled extensively, almost always in Europe, with their good friends Rich and Mary Giles.
He leaves behind his wife Greta, his brother Jack, his daughter LeAnn and her husband Chris, along with granddaughter Christie and her husband Ryan, Grandson Nick, his wife Priscilla, and their three children.

He will be remembered for his spunk and zest for life, and his constant and unwavering support of his family.

Every time I sit down to play gin- I remember how much Ray loved to play. He had more energy than most people 30 years younger than him and he was good at singing Amazing Grace- all verses. RIP Ray

My name is Bo Hirsch and I have been a friend of Ray´s since I joined LACC 43 years ago. He has been an inspiration to me over those years, showing how to live life to the fullest. Whether at golf, cards or taking him to the race track he engulfed the day.

Ray is like a pair of your favorite old shoes.

God love Ray

Sorry I missed his celebration of life! No need to respond!

We shared many memories on the golf course, card table, courtroom, and in the ocean in Del Mar. you never said no to any type of activity. You also did a great job on "Amazing Grace". And we had birthdays one day apart. RIP Ray. Wayne Boehle
