Wallace Jeffs Obituary

Wallace E. Jeffs, age 88, a Los Angeles native, born November 9, 1926, died peacefully the morning of May 28, 2015 in Corona Del Mar, California. Mr. Jeffs was particularly proud of having founded an insurance brokerage firm by the name of Association Administrators & Consultants (AA&C) which served architects and engineers nationally. The company was featured by an extreme service commitment - not just in words, but in action - for instance health care claims were processed on average within 48 hours of receipt, and while the company had a voice mail system, virtually no one knew this - people answered the phones, answered questions, and immediately and competently took care of problems. Imagine. And in the insurance business! As a young father, he loved Christmas celebrations. Early family memories focus on camping on the western side of the Sierras and fishing on the eastern side. He had the ability to think, and he could see both sides of just about everything in life. He admired creativity, but was often not thrilled with change. Aesthetics were very important to him. The love of his family, particularly his wife, was most important. He was also an avid USC football fan, and he wanted to see the team win one more national championship before he died - but near the end, he decided that many other things in life were more important than USC football - like children! - causing him to fairly recently change the beneficiary of a Charitable Trust to a Children's Hospital. Wally suffered a stroke in 1998, leaving his mind and speech intact, but leaving him partially paralyzed on one side and in constant pain. From a son's perspective, this might have been his finest hour, as he went on with life anyway, even struggling to walk a very painful quarter mile a day as long as he could. And he and his wife would even drive up to his ranch in Three Rivers, California in the middle of the night - both barely able to walk, but stopping here and there to do so along the way - obstacles to living be damned! He also took time after the stroke to write and self publish several books about life. Wally is survived by his wife, three children, and six grandchildren. He was particularly thrilled at how he saw his Grandkids pursing life.
