Marion Joanne Krug

1935 - 2024

Marion Joanne Krug, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 12, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1935, south of Laurel, Montana, to Conrad and Elizabeth Reiter Hart, and was educated at Byam School.

On March 27, 1954, she married the love of her life, Adam (Joe) Krug at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. In 2004 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Marion was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and sang in the choir for many years.

Together Marion and Joe had two sons, Doug and Dennis, and a daughter, Laurie.

Marion was always ready and willing to help in any way she could on the family farm. She loved cooking for family gatherings, raising flowers and vegetables, and sharing the fruits of her labors with others.

Marion is survived by her son Dennis (Sharon) Krug, her daughter Laurie (Mark) Calvert, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and daughter-in-law Pat Krug; grandchildren Darci Krug (Brad Mailloux), Kelsey Krug, Lindsey (Robert) Selman, Sara (Rich) Tucker, Katie (Kyle) Damon, and Scott (Mary) Calvert; great-grandchildren Jayden, Emma, Jaxson, Jarrett, Joey, Viviana, Olivia, Mya, Oliver, Sawyer, Willow, Madison, Amelia, Quinn, and Noah; and her sister Geraldine Ruth Peeler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adam, son Doug, great-grandson Timothy, brother Wilmer Hart, and sister Janice Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, St. John's Lutheran Church, Laurel. Memorial gifts may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choosing.
