Clarence McPhatter Obituary
LAURINBURG — Mr. Clarence McPhatter, Sr., 72, died on Sept. 7, 2014 in Temple, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Wagram, the Rev. Bert Lattaker officiating and with a eulogy by the Rev. Harold Livingston. Burial with full military rites will follow in Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by six sons: Clarence (Lisa) McPhatter, Jr. of Laurinburg, Marvin McPhatter of Fort Worth, Texas, Eric (Deborah) McPhatter of Jersey City, N.J., Callis Robinson of Lendon, N.J., Darrius Ray of Newark, N.J., and Michael McPhatter of Newark, N.J., two daughters: Vernice (Lamont) Congery of Howell, N.J. and Melisa McPhatter of Lendon, N.J., three brothers: John McPhatter of Raleigh, Lonnie McPhatter of Wagram, and Robert McPhatter of Newark, N.J., seven sisters: Hattie Livingston and Hazel Whitfield of Wagram, Mildred Monroe of New York, Mary Oxner of Plainfield, N.J., Yvonne Johnson of Georgetown, Texas, Beatrice Olgesby of Laurinburg, and Jean Cosby of Delance, Fla., 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
McPhatter Funeral Home is serving the family.

My name is Michele. I am a nurse at William r Courtney where Mr mcphatter lived. I so enjoyed taking care of him. He was so precious. I enjoyed his stories and looking at his photo album.
