Leo Pena Obituary
Preceded in death by his Grandparents Lopez and Peña of Las Cruces, parents Arthur and Romualda (Connie Lopez) Peña of Las Cruces, Leo is survived by a son, Brandon, brother Luis Martin (Marty) Peña of Las Cruces, two sisters, Olivia (Gary) Dieker and daughters Regina, Bernadette and Lucinda , nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Leo served his country enlisting in the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam conflict aboard the USS Valley Forge.
Returning to Las Cruces he worked in auto sales and service until retiring. Leo had a passion for Sports and like most sports fans followed each season and knew scores, stats, schedules and advice about the games.
He had a great sense of humor and could bring a smile and laughter to just about anyone, greeting everyone as if he had just been with you and focused on the present.
He was making several life changes due to recent medical diagnoses. God's blessings to Leo and Love to all the friends and family.
A memorial and Rosary will be held at St Genevieve Catholic Church at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 and internment with the U.S. Navy conducting Honor Guard services at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, TX Friday Sept 21 at 11:00 AM
For memorials please consider St. Genevieve's, Diabetes, Parkinson's and Cancer foundations in lieu of flowers.

Leo, RIP my friend. Leo and I served in the Navy together and he went to Minnesota with me and my family on a fishing trip. I tried to find you several years back with no success. I remember your love of sports as you were a big Aggie fan.
